Some strategically placed objects at Open design studio that we visited this past Friday. We also went a few doors down Varick Street to see their neighbor Wolff Olins. Both studios presented intimidatingly wonderful work from what it seemed like two opposite sides of the field. We then met up with some of the UConn design alumni who had their own fair share of advice to dish out.
Over the last remaining weeks at UConn, I have felt inundated with these very brief yet impactful meetings with an array of professionals, peers, and mentors. Every one of them seems to have a very unique point of view but still, they remain linked by their passion for their work. No one can do it all but it appears that most have something very valuable to contribute to the design field, and the world, for that matter.
